My computer doesn't turn off right away, what could be wrong?

when i click on turn off computer, it used to turn off right away. now, there's this hourglass for like 10 minutes, before it finally shuts off. a new program in my computer is comodo antivirus, not sure if that is the problem? how to fix it?

try unistalling the new program and see if it turns off any faster, if not you can just reinstall the new program. good luck

Could be a number of programs running in the background. I would suggest runing "msconfig" from the Run prompt after clicking the startmenu. Then select the Startup tab and go through the list of programs and unselect any that don't need to run. (Adobe Reader, Office Tools) things like that.
