The day is coming?

First off, As i download a program that i like like ad-aware, antivirus or any other things i go right ahead if i like it, i go directly to the cd that i created and download all the startup kits so i have all the programs right away salf.

So i got that cover and salf, when i got my new hard drive i had moved before it could been reformatted, so i will be doing it's first reformat, i have the xp cd that a guy gave me when he worked on it last, so if i do the full format and not the quick format and no what to format it NTFS, so i have the xp cd and know how to go into my BIOS and change first boot device over to cd-rom drive will it be ok if i have First boot device set to cd- rom drive and second boot device set to the hard drive.

Now about the partition sizing, can i press enter or what to show the maximum size.

P.S is their any thing els that i need to know about reformatting a hard drive.
