Why is my internet running so slow and the fan to the cpu has been running for hours?!?

i defragmented it like everyone was saying to, i uninstalled old programs and i uninstalled my norton antivirus that i had and am now using the one that came with SBC DSL's internet and another ad blocker thing, but it just seems that the computer is stressed out.. and i just got it like 2 years ago brand new..i dunno whats wrong with it

Causes for a Slow PC - - -

1. Spyware, boggin it down

2. Too Many Processes Running in the Task Manager

3. Viruses

4. Programs Stealing Focus

5. Overheating

P.S. The CPU Fan will run constantly, it's when it stops running that you really worry...

Fixes: : :

1. Run Adaware SE Personal, Update the Definitions, Run a complete check for spyware...

2. Download and Run Spybot Search and Destroy, Deep Scan for Spyware, YES that's right two spyware scanners, but only run one at a time..

3. Run a Complete Antivirus Scan Again.

4. Get a can of compressed Air, turn PC off, let it cool down a minute, Remove case and blow the inside out real good, be careful not to touch any parts inside...

5. Delete all cookies and temporary files, make sure you have all your passwords for your internet sites before deleting the cookies and such..

This should help tremendously, if not then usually a reformat and reinstall of the OS should be performed at least every two years, this will revert the OS back to factory settings... Good Luck

you may have too many processes running.or you could have spyware.

It's not a virus.
You have a virus or the Dsl you have dosnt work as fast as you thought it did.
