I installed program, which I thought was Norton Antivirus... And the installation was never even completed!! But now, everytime I start the computer, a msg from (NT Krnl) appears... So, I installed MacAfee Antivirus %26 scanned the whole computer, but no viruss were found.
The problem is, since that happened, the computer's been acting funny!!! It freezes for a second every 3 seconds!!! It's impossible for me to play music on it, 'cause it just pauses!!!!!!!!!!
I need your help guys... Any ideas on what I should do?
Computer... Pauses????aurora
My suggestion is for you to uninstall both Norton Antivirus and the MacAfee Antivirus. Both of those programs are inefficient with your computer's resources and are probably the reason for your slowdowns. There are better options around. I purchased ZoneAlarm Security which is pretty good so far. You can download for free a pretty good antivirus program called AVG (check download.com). You may also have a problem with spyware that is slowing you down - so try to download Spybot - Search and Destroy from download.com.
One last thing, download a program called CCleaner (from same site) and run it. It will delete all unnecessary files on your computer. If you still have a problem after that you might want to try upgrading your memory, or SDRAM. If you still got a problem you should probably bring to computer to a computer technician or a shop. I don't recommend CompUSA because they charge too much, but if money isn't such a concern then do that it's the easiest.

Do recovery. Your pc is suffering, so are you!!!
Sounds like you have several AV programs installed, or half installed and they are battling each other for resources. The best thing to do is to remove any extra programs that you installed (Norton, McAfee) and turn off whatever program came with the PC, then reinstall the program of your choice.
You can find info on how to do this at microsoft.com.
Try to remember what program you installed and then un-install it.
