Windows XP restarting alone?

My pc is restarting itself everytime after it logs in. I restarted it in safe mode and it didn' t restart alone. I ran the Mc Affee antivirus and found no viruses at all. I ran Anti spyware programs which found a few of spyware, removed them but still have the same problem when i start in normal mode. Anyone can help plz?

Windows XP restarting alone?internet security software

I have WinAntiVirus Pro 2006, and it says that there is a new virus going around that keeps resarting your computer. If you can't find it, that probably means your virus scanner can't detect it. It's probably somewhere in there. You should get it cleaned as soon as possible, by a professional.

My cousins did that and would restart like every 3-5 minutes. However they had to "reinstall windows" or in some case you can just do a repair option. Hopefully you backed up all your important files cause reinstalling windows does cause you to loose everything including programs you have downloaded onto your computer.
Chris, you can visit www.suggestafix and get a TOTALLY FREE user account and post problems for answers from people who DO know PC issues....and get their suggestions, again, FOR FREE.
physically disconnect your computer from the internet connection then start the computer if it doesnt keep restarting while disconnected then you have a virus
Possible a bad BIOS
Probably your spyware isn't good one. try Microsoft anti-spyware
Have you checked the other components in your system? It could be due to RAM failure, not enough RAM in your pc can cause it to hang.
